Smart women with an interest in investment. Seattle-based, Seraph Capital Forum is an intimate forum for women to learn, talk and share what they know about the emerging businesses that interest them.
Here at Seraph we believe that every member increases our collective wisdom, connections and insights into early stage opportunities, including access to deal flow. Whether you’re a long-term veteran in the angel investment community, a senior executive or serial entrepreneur — you’re bound to have something to contribute to our discussions of the opportunities revealed by presenting companies.
Eligibility
Membership in the Seraph Capital Forum is open to women we invite or sponsor into our group.
Members must reside in the Puget Sound region, or maintain active business or investment relationships here. Each time you renew your membership, you must attest to your status as an “accredited investor” as defined under Rule 501 of the SEC regulations.
We expect members to abide by our guiding principles and code of ethics, including the confidentiality of other members’ personal information and investment preferences.
We do not require members to make an investment through Seraph each year; however, we expect members to be willing and able to invest when the right opportunity presents itself. Our goal is for each member to invest in 1–2 deals per year.
Each year we assess annual dues in order to cover Seraph’s costs, which are minimal given our all-volunteer status (2009: $500/year).
Why Join Seraph
As an accredited investor, you may already belong to other angel groups. But Seraph offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with other successful women from the Puget Sound region and explore early stage investments in an all-women environment that’s qualitatively different. Join Seraph if you share our passion for growing our region, its entrepreneurial vitality, relish the thrills (and potential rewards!) of angel investing — and have fun doing it.
Although we may have different investment preferences or risk appetites, we share core values, including honesty, integrity, respect for others and a willingness to safeguard each other’s privacy.
