Seraph Capital Forum is the foremost network of active women angels in the Puget Sound region, nearing our 10th anniversary as the first all-women's angel organization in the US.

Our Mission

Seraph increases women’s access to broader deal flow sourced from the Pacific Northwest, enables women to learn more about angel investing; and affords a positive, collaborative environment for members to network and learn from each other.

Seraph aims to expand the number and collective impact of women who, as angel investors, advisors or board members, drive economic growth across the Puget Sound region.

Our members are strategic investors whose individual investments and counsel drive the development of new ventures by:
  • Providing capital
  • Providing expertise on Boards and through business connections
  • Building relationships beneficial to investors and to business growth
  • Exchanging knowledge regarding the viability of business opportunities

Our Members

Who joins Seraph? Smart, successful high net-worth women who want to make private equity investments with superior returns from Pacific Northwest companies. People who relish the camaraderie and wisdom of other women who are also seasoned executives and economic spark plugs.

Seraph members have the resources and business acumen to consider high risk, early stage opportunities. In their work lives they own and/or run companies, manage hedge funds or other investment vehicles; provide professional services (legal, financial, banking, commercial real estate, marketing consulting); hold Board seats; launch companies; or provide strategic advisory services to both emerging and established corporations. Several are serial entrepreneurs and have sold multiple companies. Some have left Wall Street investment banking to come to Seattle; others rode the technology boom.

Seraph members offer unusually diverse domain expertise: consumer packaged goods, retail and multi-channel distribution, digital media and entertainment, high tech products for both enterprises and consumers, telecom, biotech and life sciences, commercial and investment banking, real estate, organic farming, viticulture, and forestry products.

What We Do

Each year Seraph holds five to six luncheons at which entrepreneurs from several early stage firms present their business plan to our members. To ensure high quality deal flow, these business plans have been pre-screened and selected from a larger pool; each company receives coaching on how to present a more effective pitch to the members.

At each investment luncheon, after presenters leave the room, members discuss the relative attractiveness of each potential investment, and identify strengths and weaknesses to probe further. Then the presenters return for Q&A, and get feedback directly from a designated member who has consolidated the group’s comments, compliments and concerns.

Afterwards, for opportunities they consider worthwhile, one or more members will follow up with the companies individually, to perform the required due diligence and discuss the term sheet. From here on, what happens next is up to the individual member and the companies.

Following the meeting, the plans and pitch decks submitted by the presenting companies are posted in the members-only area of our website, for individual review and consideration.

We encourage deal flow from our members, entrepreneurs, and other angel groups.
